The word "sokerissa" comes from Japanese "sore ike!", meaning "step forward". Sokerissa is an organisation based in Tokyo that enables homeless people to tell their stories in a visual way through the medium of dance and performance.

From the body or angle of people in homelessness, what kind of performance would be made? The idea made me find participants who are/were the homeless, and we have danced on the stage or the street since 2005. Our motive is entertaining large audiences anywhere. We also hope to perform overseas, especially in countries of poverty.
